The ideal candidate must possess a high level of energy, the skills to properly sequence competing priorities, and have a sense of urgency to accomplish the Company goals and deliver results in our high growth environment.
The winning candidate will serve as a coach, trainer, and leader to a skilled team of 4-6 personnel at current state, executing actions generally associated with customer development, new product sales, sales engineering, account penetration and relationship building.

Responsibilities:
Principal activities include quoting large bid packages or special parts; analyzing spend patterns and current part assignments from catalog house-type accounts; problem solving; and serving in the role as internal customer support for important accounts.
Plan and execute the key account plan to continuously build sales volume and profitability for the Company and its customers.
Manage the internal Strategic Quotes team and support the efforts of national sales teammates involved in the selling of the Company's products, both domestic and internationally.
Establish and monitor sales targets for salespeople and monitor performance on a continual basis.
Prepare, analyze, and interpret sales statistics to determine growth potential.
Execute on selling opportunities that build brand equity with current customers.
Support current selling methods and tools that effectively promote and sell product offerings.
Remain aware of trends in the marketplace and ensure that department strategies and tactics are in tune with the Company's overall strategy.
Review and analyze business trends and sales activities and report findings to other Company personnel as appropriate.
Actively work with customers to identify their needs, make recommendations for improving business for both the customer and the Company, maintain strong lines of communication and build positive relationships with the sales force and customers.
Act as a servant-leader who raises the team's performance through supportive, coaching, guiding efforts.
Foster an environment of trust and credibility while developing a business partnership with internal and external customers.
Perform other related duties as required.
Ideal
Qualifications:
Outstanding leadership, coaching, and organizational development skills.
Proficiency in basic information technology tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Education in Business, Marketing, Communications, or relevant experience preferred.
Sales management experience; preferably in an inside sales/quoting operations environment preferred.
Experience with managing multi-level work teams and developing individual team members preferred.
Experience in multi-channel management or channel development desired.
Experience in industrial distribution, fastener, or power transmission segments desired.
Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems desired.
Work Environment:
This is an Office setting with friendly, out-going, team-oriented sales staff.
Candidates should anticipate a very fast-paced customer focused sales environment.
